Chemokine receptors are G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that play a key role in inflammation and are characterized by similar sequences with a 4 cysteine motif. The C-C family has the first 2 cysteines linked together while the C-x-C family has an amino acid in between the first 2 cysteines. Historically, chemokine receptor type 1 has been designated C-C chemokine receptor type 1, CC-CKR-1, CCR-1, Macrophage inflammatory protein 1-alpha receptor, MIP-1alpha-R, RANTES-R, HM145, LD78 receptor, and CD191 antigen. Specificity: Since the peptide sequence shares less than 50% amino acid identity to other chemokine receptors in this region, this antibody only recognizes human receptor. Formulation: F(ab')2 IgG in PBS with 1 mg/ml BSA and 0.1% sodium azide Quality Control: Immunohistochemistry of human tonsil or spleen. Storage: Freeze at -20° C. For long term storage freeze at -70° C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
