DATASHEET

Specificity: This antibody recognizes myosin II and is highly specific for immunoblotting. Binding assays show strong reactivity with myosin heavy chain, weak reactivitywith myosin light chain, and no cross-reactivity with skeletal and smooth muscle myosin. Immunocytochemistry shows uniform staining throughout growth cones in a punctate pattern with occasional concentration in filopodia. Rabbits were immunized with an intact and native myosin II purified from human platelets.

Purification and Formulation: Serum immunoglobulin was precipitated twice by ammonium sulfate fractionation and then dissolved and dialyzed against phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.015 M sodium  phosphate, pH 7.5, 0.15 M NaC1, with sodium azide 0.02% as a preservative.

Storage: Short term storage at 4° C. Freeze at -20° C or colder for long term storage. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
