Custom Antibody Development — Rabbit Antibodies

The New Zealand White rabbit is the most common choice for a host species in antibody production. This host species choice is ideal when working with peptide and protein antigens. Results can be seen in as little as 35 days when selecting our accelerated antibody package. The accelerated package is available for customers working with antigens known to produce high titer antibodies or when working with highly immunogenic antigens. We recommend using at least two animals per antigen due to variations of immune response between animals, improving the odds of project success. 

Standard Production Package        

Package Contents:
1 New Zealand White Rabbit
84 days of animal maintenance: housing, feed, daily monitoring, and veterinary care
4 immunizations with Freund’s Adjuvant
1 Pre-immune Bleed (5 ml)
1 Test Bleed (5 ml)
1 Production Bleed (25-30 ml)

Protocol:
Day   1:  Pre-immune bleed/ Immunize using CFA
Day 21:  Immunize using IFA
Day 42:  Immunize using IFA
Day 52:  Test Bleed
Day 63:  Immunize using IFA
Day 72:  Production Bleed
Day 84:  PI to decide to terminate or extend project

Projects may be extended beyond day 84 per extension pricing which will be billed monthly
